FIFA 21 Ultimate Team Best Formations

    in General Discussions

Formations are part of your FIFA 21 Ultimate Team tactical toolbox. The appropriate training can make you an outstanding FUT Champions player, especially while everyone sweats more than ever owing to the Season Team (TOTS).

This tutorial will present some of the most effective Ultimate Team FIFA 21 formations—but be careful. It's not worth picking a formation that doesn't fit your current play style or team. After all, one of the important components of FIFA is playing comfortably.

Here are the FIFA 21 Ultimate Team training we would recommend.

    5. 4-2-3-1 (2)

This alternative 4-2-3-1 variant is great for players that want to play the possession game and dominate a match's pace, as it contains two wide midfielders instead of three CAMs. It's most suited for sluggish play styles, since the formation allows you to pass the ball around while waiting for the ideal option.

4-2-3-1 (2) is a fantastic training to utilize balanced settings on your players, but that doesn't imply you should have the same approach for the full game. Watch your opponent play and consider having one of the center defensive midfielders (CDMs) join the attack if your adversary plays too passively.

    4) 4-2-2-2-2

The 4-2-2-2 is similar to the 4-4-2 when setup, but it's a touch more offensive as the two center attacking midfielders (CAMs) play more often as attackers. You can start a 4-4-2 basic game and then alter to 4-2-2-2 depending on how your opponent plays or if you feel you need additional attacking force.

However, setting your CMs and full-backs to "remain behind while attacking" is vital. Otherwise, for days you'll suffer counter-attacks. One of the best parts of the 4-2-2-2 is that you can put pressure on your opponent while they're still passing the ball in their backline, since you'll have four players to try to grab the ball.

    (3) 3-5-2

Like 5-2-1-2, in FIFA 21 Ultimate Team, the 3-5-2 became highly meta. It's a wonderful training that covers everything, including solid defense and many attack alternatives.

When the formation is set to balance, the wingers will be there to assist you construct the attack and preserve possession, but from time to time they will also make deep runs on the attack and you'll have three center backs and two midfielders to defend you from being countered.

The one negative to the 3-5-2 arises if you keep using your wingers in the attack, since your opponent can use balls to get in behind your wings. Keep in mind that you need to actively draw back a midfielder or center to cover free space.

    2. 3-4-2-1

The 3-4-2-1 is another adaptable formation. You can use it to secure results while you're ahead since if you set the defensive style to "drop back," you can have seven players defending.

But you can also employ 3-4-2-1 if you desperately attack at the conclusion of the game and find a goal, especially if you use the attacking style "rapid build up." Suddenly, seven players move up the field to press the opponent.

Like other FIFA 21 formations, we'd suggest you to generate multiple instructions to change the 3-4-2-1 depending on how your opponent plays, or the game circumstances. Start the game and find out what's your next move during the match.

    1. 4-1-4-1

This formation was far too defensive in FIFA's prior editions but became a decent option in FIFA 21 due to the Creative Runs system and improvements on how players move in general.

Play like you wish. Wanna play defensively? Set your three midfielders to "remain when attacking." Need a goal score? Free your midfielders to attack and establish a "free roam" winger. They'll vacate the sideline to generate possibilities in the middle.
